Questions
What Parents Ask Most
Is this Rep football?
Yes. Peel Panthers football is competitive club football, and families should treat it as a rep-level commitment.
Players are expected to attend practices, games, team meetings, and other scheduled team activities. Football is a team sport. When one player misses practice, it affects preparation, safety, timing, conditioning, and the development of the entire group.
During the season, families should expect multiple practices per week, games on weekends, possible travel, and team events. Attendance matters. Coaches build game plans, install plays, teach techniques, and make roster decisions based on commitment, effort, readiness, and reliability.
Missing practices or games may affect playing time, position assignments, and game-day eligibility. We understand that school, family, illness, and emergencies happen. Communication is important. Families should notify coaches as early as possible when an athlete will be absent.
Peel is a development program, but it is also a competitive program. We want athletes who are ready to work, learn, compete, support their teammates, and represent the Club with pride.
Does my athlete need football experience?
No. Peel welcomes new athletes and experienced players. Coaches help place athletes in the right program based on age, readiness, and goals.
Where are games played?
The Panthers practise in Brampton, with home games and in season practices hosted at David Suzuki Stadium. Away games can be across the province. Off season practices take place at various indoor facilities in the Brampton area.
What does the $1,000 fee include?
Fees helps cover the use of football equipment, training, league fees, insurance, equipment, officials, fields, transportation, and game-day operations.
Can we pay over time?
Yes. Peel works with families through payment plans and fee assistance where possible. Note, that any missed payments will jeopardize the athlete’s ability to practice or play, and can lead to their removal from the team.
What if my athlete misses practice?
Players missing practice with out communicating with their head coach may see a reduction in playing time.
Cost should not be the first barrier.
KidSport, Their Opportunity, payment plans and the Panthers Community Fund can help. Apply early.
