Canadian Tire Jumpstart
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities gives kids, between the ages of 4 and 18, a sporting chance.
Money raised within each community stays within the community and goes directly to help kids participate in sport, dance or other organized physical activities. Jumpstart funding helps families that need a financial hand with program registration costs.
Applications for Jumpstart need to be done before the fees are due, as the money goes directly to the sports association. Funding is up to $300 per activity. Applicants can also apply for equipment assistance up to $150 to help purchase goods such as cleats, girdles, etc.
Applications for Winter open January 16th, we recommend that families apply early.

Growing Up Through Sports (GUTS)
Ontario Growing Up Through Sports (GUTS) was founded in 2011 by Brian Broley. The ability of playing organized sports at a young age shouldn’t be dependant on the financial situation at home, it is not in the control of the child and shouldn’t prevent them the ability to play with others their age and enjoy all the benefits playing sports has to offer.
Applications are ongoing and the charity offers funding of $200 per activity to an annual maximum of $600. The program is new to Peel and we are unsure of turnaround time. The fund also offers Equipment Assistance for eligible families.
